About

Lauren Holtkamp-Sterling, MA, MDiv

she/her

Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm so glad you're here! As a Master's level intern, my practice is focused on marriage and family therapy. I'm committed to helping individuals and families navigate challenges, build trust, and foster meaningful connections.

Before entering the field of therapy, I spent 16 years in the fast-paced world of global sports and media, where I honed my skills in managing stress, high-intensity environments, and complex relationships. As a former NBA and WNBA referee, I've learned a great deal about resilience, teamwork, and communication - lessons I now apply to my therapeutic work. I enjoy working with high achieving and creative individuals, and individuals and couples who are juggling work and family life.

Along with my background in high-pressure environments, I have a strong clinical background. I earned my Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology and have worked as a chaplain at Northside Hospital, Metro State Women’s Prison, and Skyland Trail.

As a marriage and family therapist, I believe that our relationships are the foundation of our well-being. By exploring the interconnectedness of your life, I can help you address challenges in a holistic and compassionate way. If you're seeking a therapist who genuinely cares about your well-being and is dedicated to helping you with intrapersonal exploration and building stronger interpersonal relationships, I am here to support you. Schedule a consultation today and discover how you can find greater peace, joy, and connection.
